11/16/2023 0 Comments Ford thunderbird car clubThe festivities began that evening with hot appetizers and drinks as members were able to mingle before dinner. Forty-seven club members came out on a cold December night to celebrate. The Annual Holiday Party was held on December 3rd at the Alpine Haus Banquets in Westchester. Those CTCC members in attendance were Dan Anderson, Dennis Basler & his son Hill, Mike & Laura Cielenski, Kirk Forgue, Charles Freund, Gordon Gluff, Art Hahl, Peter & Katie Hauser, Len and Mary Keil, Karen Kelly, Barry Konigsford, Sandy Kraatz & her daughter Carrie, Jerry Peterson, Lloyd & Joan Schellin, Ken Smizinski, Len Vinyard, Bob Wenderski, Liz Werth, Kami Woody and Madeline Zambon. Members then headed back to the Brewery to have lunch and try some of the beers. After the tech session everyone headed across the parking lot to two warehouses which housed the private collection of even more vehicles of the owner of the Brewery Dennis Chooksaszian. He spoke about the Ignition points, condensers and rotors along with places to send fuel pumps and wiper motors to be rebuilt. He gave suggestions of where to find parts or rebuild parts. He doesn’t recommend going through the tbird vendors for many parts since they don’t seem to work in the cars. Ken Smizinski started the Tech Session off by talking about how finding good quality parts for our baby birds is very hard. The day started with coffee, donuts, and muffins as everyone mingled about the Brewery looking at the collection of vehicles on display. ![]() It was a chilly cloudy day but that didn’t stop 4 baby birds from flying into the Brewery. Unfortunately, he was not able to get the P-51 Mustang there because it was being repaired in T-6 Trainer on the field for picture taking with it. He was able to get the World War II era Texan To get permission for all of us to park our Tbirds on the Tarmac for the entire time we were there. Of the STTC & CTCI Tbird Clubs enjoyed the great food of the Trailblazer Cafe, hosted by Cafe Owners Josh & Stephanie Smith & Staff.
